Light Meets Sound
Traditional recording studios are often dark and windowless. The client for Oslo Music Studio challenged us to create a workspace that felt "open, airy, and inspiring" while maintaining strict mastering-grade acoustics.
Located in Norway's capital, the goal was to integrate the minimalist Nordic aesthetic—featuring clean lines and natural light—without compromising sound isolation.

Invisible Acoustics
To achieve a flat frequency response in a room with glass windows, we implemented John Brandt's signature approach:
1. Schroeder Diffusion
The beautiful vertical wooden slats on the walls aren't just for decoration. They are calculated diffusers that scatter sound energy, making the room sound larger than it physically is.
2. The Phantom Wall
Massive bass trapping is hidden invisibly behind the front fabric walls. This allows the ATC SCM100 monitors to deliver punchy, accurate low-end down to 25Hz.
