The Pursuit of Truth
In the world of professional audio, "character" is for instruments; the room itself must be invisible. The vision for Störsender Studio was uncompromising: create a reference listening environment with zero coloration.
Located in Sirnach, Switzerland, the client demanded a space where mixes would translate perfectly to any system—from a car stereo to a club PA. This required a design that eliminates the "room sound" entirely, leaving only the pure audio source.

Surgical Precision
To achieve a ruler-flat frequency response, standard acoustic treatment wasn't enough. We employed a hybrid strategy:
1. The Bass Trap Superchunk
The corners and rear wall feature massive, floor-to-ceiling broadband absorption. This effectively "stops" low-frequency energy from bouncing back, preventing the muddy build-up that plagues most home studios.
2. The Phantom Center
By eliminating early reflections from the side walls using angled fabric waveguides, we achieved a stereo image so sharp that the speakers seem to disappear. You don't hear the left or right speaker; you hear a 3D wall of sound.
